For centuries, indigenous hammocks have played a fundamental role in the lives and cultures of native peoples. More than mere sleeping objects, hammocks represent a rich tradition woven with threads of ancestry, wisdom, and connection to nature. Thus, the Trama Bed is born, a democratic piece of furniture that brings together indigenous heritage and digital technologies. It consists of laser-cut marine plywood pieces and a weave of elastic strips. The pieces have been designed in a reduced size for easy transport and assembly, as they are simply fitted together and secured with metal bars and butterfly wing nuts, eliminating the need for tools.
